It's a must have if you have time to wait (the only queue in the whole trip). After the darshan do not forget to have the free mahaprasad. It's an old temple with extremely peaceful environment. As soon as we got done with our morning chores we went for the darshan of swami Samarth just across the road. We checked into the rooms at around 9am after the breakfast (paid facility available near main gate). From the bus stand we hired another auto rickshaw to the Bhakt Nivas where there is decent accomodation available at very reasonable rates. The time required will reduce significantly after the road expansion works are completed. It's about an hours journey to the akkalkot bus stand. From solapur railway station we hired a local auto rickshaw to the state transport bus stand (msrtc) from where solapur akkalkot busses leave every after 30minutes. It is very convinient if you are traveling with peope above 70years old as getting down at the last stop is never an issue. We boarded the overnight train (siddheshwar express) plying between Mumbai csmt and solapur junction. We were a group of 7family members, mostly old adults.
